Samuel Curtis Johnson founded a parquet flooring company.
1888
S.C. Johnson developed a new and unique product designed for maintaining parquet floors.
1935
H.F. Johnson Jr. leads the original Carnauba Expedition.
1950
The company began selling products to commerical accounts.
1966
Samuel C. Johnson became president of S.C. Johnson and the fourth-generation member of his family to lead the business.
1983
S. Curtis Johnson joined S.C. Johnson.
1998
Sam, Curt and Fisk Johnson pilot the 1998 Carnauba Expedition.
1996
Curt Johnson was named Chairman of Commercial Markets, Inc., overseeing both the Professional and Polymer businesses.
1999
S.C. Johnson Professional separated from S.C. Johnson, becoming a stand-alone company called Johnson Wax Professional.
2002
Johnson Wax Professional acquired DiverseyLever to become JohnsonDiversey Inc. Curt Johnson led the initiative and became chairman of the company.
JohnsonDiversey is one of the four separate companies controlled by the Johnson Family, all of which are headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin. The other three companies are S.C. Johnson & Sons, Inc., Johnson Financial Group, and Johnson Outdoors, Inc.
