Legislation
Diversey is committed to providing customers with cleaning and disinfection solutions that meet the highest standards of performance and environmental sustainability. The following section summarises two important pieces of legislation that have been introduced by the EU during 2007.
The 2nd Adaption to Technical Progress (2006/EC) of the Dangerous Preparations Directive (2nd ATP of the DPD). This legislation requires chemical products deemed toxic to aquatic organisms above specified levels to be 'N' labelled with the "dead fish, dead tree" symbol. Diversey has some products covered by this legislation and relabelling will be completed by 2008.
The new labelling is not the result of any change in product composition, simply a cange in relation to the new legislation. Diversey has a long history of commitment to health, safety and the environment. We are confident that continued use of our products at the recommended in-use concentrations meets this commitment completely.

REACh (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) This new European law came in to force on June 1st 2007 with the aim of improving the protection of human health and the envirnment through the identification of the properties of chemical substances. As a leading supplier of chemical products, Diversey shares these objectives and we are actively involved in REACh. The short term impact to our customers will be changes in product labelling and safety data sheets. Longer term impacts such as a duty of end users to carry out Risk Assessments are yet to be confirmed.
